Huawei: Delete an Event in Calendar

When an event no longer applies or two appointments overlap, you need to remove it from the Calendar app on your Huawei phone. If the event repeats, EMUI asks whether to delete only this occurrence or every future instance of the series. Picking the wrong option can wipe out appointments you still need.

Delete a Calendar Event auf Huawei

Calendar entries on Huawei phones running EMUI stay in the app until you remove them manually, even after the appointment date has passed. Deleting outdated events keeps the calendar readable and stops old reminders from popping up.

Open the Calendar appChoose an eventTap on Delete. For a single, non-repeating appointment, this removes it right away.

If the event repeats weekly or monthly, EMUI adds an extra prompt: Choose Only this event or All events. Picking Only this event removes just the occurrence you tapped and leaves the rest of the series untouched. Picking All events deletes every past and future instance of that recurring appointment.

Confirm your choice with Confirm with Delete to finish. There is no undo inside the Calendar app, so check which occurrence is selected before confirming, especially with recurring series.

If you only need to change the time or add participants, use the edit option on the event details screen instead of deleting it.

Frequently asked questions

Every past and future occurrence of that recurring appointment gets removed at once. The Calendar app has no built-in undo, so you would need to recreate the series manually.
