Set Up Parental Controls with Digital Balance auf Huawei
Digital Balance on Huawei phones is built to track and limit screen time, and parental control sits inside the same feature instead of a separate app. This is why many parents miss it: the menu is labeled for personal habit tracking, not for managing a child's phone.
Once you turn on parental control, the system links usage limits to app categories and daily time budgets. You can restrict specific apps, set a daily screen time cap, and schedule downtime where the phone locks itself outside chosen hours.
To reach the feature, go to Open the settings ➔ Tap on Digital balance ➔ Tap on Start and follow the instructions on the screen. The setup wizard walks you through creating a child profile and choosing limits step by step.
This method works directly on the device, so it is the fastest option if you have physical access to your kid's phone. If you need to manage limits remotely, from your own phone while the child's device is elsewhere, a separate family-management app tied to your Huawei account is the better fit.
One side effect worth knowing: once daily limits are reached, the phone can lock apps or the whole screen automatically. If your kid needs an app for schoolwork during locked hours, you will need to adjust the limit or add that app to an exception list.
