Manage Do Not Disturb Access for Apps auf Huawei
Do Not Disturb access is a special permission on Huawei phones running EMUI. It lets a chosen app send notifications, calls or alerts even while the rest of the system stays silent.
Some apps request this permission during setup, often disguised as a notification or alarm prompt. If you approved it without checking, that app can now ignore your Do Not Disturb schedule completely.
To check or change which apps hold this permission, open the following path:
Open the settings ➔ Tap on Apps ➔ Tap on Apps ➔ Open the menu ➔ Tap on Special access ➔ Tap on Do Not Disturb access ➔ Activate or deactivate access of the app you want
Turn the toggle off for any app that should not interrupt Do Not Disturb, such as social or shopping apps. Keep it enabled only for apps where missing an alert would actually cause a problem, like alarm clocks or calling apps you rely on.
If notifications still get through after disabling access here, check the app own notification settings as well. Some apps have a separate priority or urgent alert setting that works independently of this system permission.
