Huawei: Download a New System Font

The font shown across your Huawei phone is not controlled from display or accessibility settings. It lives inside the Themes app, bundled together with other visual styles.

Each text style pack changes the font everywhere at once: system menus, app icons, the notification shade, and the messaging app. There is no separate switch for individual apps.

To change it, open Settings ➔ Home screen & wallpaper ➔ Themes ➔ Text styles. Browse the available fonts, select one, then confirm with Buy / Download.

Some fonts are free, others require a small purchase through the theme store before they unlock. Once downloaded, the new font applies immediately without a restart.

This method only works for the system-wide font. If a single app displays its own custom typography, for example a browser rendering a webpage, that app ignores the system font and needs its own in-app setting instead.

If the font resets after a system update, the downloaded style pack may need to be reapplied from the same Text styles menu, since updates occasionally revert theme customizations.
