Enable Emergency SOS Messages auf Huawei
Emergency SOS on Huawei phones combines an automatic emergency call with an SOS text message sent to selected contacts. The message includes your current location, which only works once the feature is switched on and at least one contact has been added.
Pressing the power button five times in quick succession triggers the call. If no emergency contacts are stored, the call still connects, but the SOS text with your location is skipped entirely.
Turn on the SOS message and add contacts
Open Open the settings ➔ Tap on Security ➔ Tap on Emergency SOS. From there, Activate or deactivate Also send SOS message switches the text function on or off.
To choose who receives the message, go to Tap on Emergency contacts ➔ Tap on Add emergency contacts ➔ Choose a contact. You can add several contacts, and each one receives the same location text when SOS triggers.
If the phone only calls but never sends a text, check whether the message option is switched off or the contact list is empty. If false triggers happen while the phone is in a pocket, turning the message option off while keeping the emergency call active is often the safer setting.
