Force Stop an App auf Huawei
Swiping an app away in the recent-apps view only pauses it. EMUI keeps many processes active in the background to speed up the next launch, which is why a frozen app often reopens in the same broken state.
A force stop ends the process completely, clears its memory, and removes any background tasks it started. This is the right move when an app is unresponsive, stuck on a loading screen, or draining battery while running silently.
Menu path for force stop
Open Settings ➔ Apps ➔ Apps ➔ Choose an app ➔ Force stop ➔ confirm with Force stop.
The app closes immediately and disappears from the recent-apps list. Any unsaved data inside the app is lost, since force stop does not save a session before shutting it down.
If the same app freezes again right after reopening it, the issue usually sits in the app itself rather than in EMUI. In that case, check for a pending app update or clear the app cache instead of repeating the force stop.
