Set Up Gesture Input auf Huawei
Gesture input on Huawei phones runs through the built-in SwiftKey keyboard, not through a separate app. Two swipe styles are available and they behave very differently, which is why typing can feel broken if the wrong one is active.
Flow lets you drag your finger from letter to letter without lifting it, and the keyboard predicts the word you meant. Gestures maps specific swipe directions to actions, such as swiping left to delete the last word or swiping down to close the keyboard. If Flow is active, those directional swipe actions get overridden by letter tracing instead, which is the usual reason a swipe suddenly deletes a word instead of typing one.
Where to change it
Open Open the settings ➔ Tap on System & updates ➔ Tap on Language & input ➔ Tap on SwiftKey Keyboard ➔ Tap on Typing ➔ Tap on Typing & autocorrect ➔ Tap on Gesture input ➔ Choose an option.
From that screen you can switch between Flow and Gestures, or turn gesture input off entirely if you prefer tapping each key. If autocorrect keeps interfering with word predictions while using Flow, check the autocorrect settings on the same Typing & autocorrect screen rather than the gesture option itself.
