Show or Hide Public Holidays in Calendar auf Huawei
Public and regional holidays in the Huawei Calendar app are controlled by a country-specific setting, not by the calendar view itself. This is why holidays sometimes appear even after you clear or filter individual calendar entries.
The setting lives inside the app menu rather than a swipe gesture or long-press option, which is why many users miss it. EMUI separates national holidays from regional ones, so you can keep one active while disabling the other.
To change the display, open Calendar ➔ Menu ➔ Settings ➔ National/Regional holidays. From there, enable or disable the holidays for your selected country.
If you only want to remove regional holidays while keeping national ones visible, disabling the regional option alone is enough. There is no need to turn off the entire holiday feature.
This setting only affects the built-in holiday calendar. Personal events, birthdays, and holidays synced from a third-party calendar app are not affected and need to be managed separately.
