Enable or Disable Key Pop-ups auf Huawei
The short preview that appears above a key while typing comes from the SwiftKey keyboard built into EMUI. It confirms which character you just tapped, which helps on small touchscreen keys but can feel like visual noise once you type fast or in low light.
This preview is controlled by a single toggle inside the keyboard settings, separate from autocorrect or sound feedback. Turning it off stops the letter flash but keeps predictive text and other typing aids untouched.
To change it, go to Open the settings ➔ Tap on System & updates ➔ Tap on Language & input ➔ Tap on SwiftKey Keyboard ➔ Tap on Typing ➔ Tap on Keys ➔ Tap on Key pop-ups and switch the option on or off.
If letters still seem to lag or double-tap instead of just previewing, the issue is more likely a screen protector or touch sensitivity setting, not this pop-up feature. In that case, check the display or touch response settings instead of the keyboard.
