Keyboard Vibration Settings auf Huawei
Typing on a Huawei phone sometimes buzzes with every letter even though the general system haptics are turned off. The reason is the keyboard app itself, not the phone's global vibration setting. Microsoft SwiftKey, the default keyboard shipped with EMUI, carries its own vibration engine that runs independently from Settings ➔ Sounds & vibration.
This separate control is called keypress vibration. It lets you switch between three states: no vibration at all, the standard Android default vibration, or a custom keypress vibration with adjustable strength and length. Because it sits inside the keyboard app, disabling system vibration elsewhere has no effect on it.
To adjust it, open Settings ➔ System & updates ➔ Language & input ➔ Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard ➔ Sound & vibration. There you can enable or disable Use the Android default vibration or switch to Keypress vibration. Once keypress vibration is active, swipe left or right on the strength bar to set how strong and how long each buzz feels.
If typing feedback still feels wrong after changing this, check whether a third-party keyboard app is installed and active instead of SwiftKey, since each keyboard manages its own vibration separately.
