Location Scanning via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth auf Huawei
Huawei phones running EMUI use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning as a background source for location accuracy, separate from the actual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection toggles. Even when both radios are switched off, the phone briefly powers them on to detect nearby access points and devices, then uses that data to refine your position. Any app with location permission can trigger this behavior when it requests a precise fix.
This setting lives under location, not under the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth menus, which is why disabling those connections has no effect on the scans.
To change it, open Open the settings ➔ Tap on Location ➔ Tap on Advanced settings ➔ Activate or deactivate Wi-Fi/Bluetooth scanning. Turning the toggles off here stops the background scans entirely.
Switching this off improves battery life slightly and reduces how often your phone's radios activate in the background. The tradeoff is a less accurate location fix indoors or in areas with weak GPS signal, such as parking garages or dense buildings.
If you only want to limit which apps can access your location at all, adjusting individual app permissions is a better fix than disabling scanning system-wide.
