Lockdown Option Toggle auf Huawei
Holding down the power button on a Huawei phone normally brings up only Restart and Power off. The Lockdown option adds a third button that locks the screen immediately without shutting the device down, useful when you hand your phone to someone else or want to secure it fast in public.
This button is hidden by default and lives inside the biometric security settings, not the power menu itself. Huawei EMUI ties it to the secure lock configuration, so the toggle only appears once you open the correct submenu.
To activate it: Open the settings ➔ Tap on Biometrics & password ➔ Tap on Secure lock settings ➔ Activate or deactivate Show lockdown option.
Once enabled, the lockdown button appears every time you long-press the power button, next to Restart and Power off. Disabling the toggle removes it again without affecting your existing lock screen method such as PIN, pattern, or fingerprint.
If your phone still asks for a PIN or password to unlock even when Face Unlock or fingerprint are enabled, that is expected: lockdown mode temporarily disables biometric unlocking until you enter your credentials.
