Merge Call History by Time or Contact auf Huawei
By default, the Huawei call log shows every call as its own line, even repeated calls from the same number within minutes. That gets hard to scan once a contact calls back several times or you switch between mobile and messaging apps a lot.
EMUI includes a merge option inside the Phone app settings that changes how entries are grouped. Merging By contact collapses all calls from one person into a single row, while By time groups calls that happened close together regardless of who called. Neither option deletes call data, it only changes the display.
To switch between views, open Open the Phone app ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the settings ➔ Tap on Merge call log ➔ Choose By time or By contact.
Once merged, details like exact call time or duration are not shown directly in the list anymore. Tap the information symbol next to a merged entry to see the individual calls it contains.
Use By contact if you mostly want a cleaner overview per person. Use By time if you are trying to reconstruct a sequence of calls around a specific event, like a missed callback chain.
