Enable Gentle Notifications for an App auf Huawei
Huawei phones announce every notification the same way by default: a sound, a short vibration and a banner or lock-screen preview. That gets loud fast once several messaging, mail or news apps compete for your attention, especially when only a few contacts actually need an instant alert.
Gentle notifications live inside the per-app notification controls, not in the general sound settings. Enabling the option for one app removes its sound and vibration while the message still lands in the notification panel, so you keep a record without the interruption.
To switch it on or off:
Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Apps ➔ Tap on Apps ➔ Choose an app ➔ Tap on Notifications ➔ Tap on Miscellaneous ➔ Enable or disable Gentle notifications ➔ Confirm with OK
Use this option when you still want to catch up on missed messages later but do not need an immediate alert. If you want an app blocked completely, including the panel entry, turn off its notifications entirely instead of relying on gentle notifications. Disabling the setting again restores the full sound, vibration and pop-up behavior for that single app, while every other app keeps its own settings untouched.
