Contact Name Order: First Name or Last Name First auf Huawei
Contact names on a Huawei phone follow one global display rule. That rule decides whether the first name or the last name appears first across Contacts, Calls, and Messages. If names were imported from a SIM card, an email account, or a backup, this order can end up different from what you expect, even though every entry itself is stored correctly.
The setting lives in the Contacts app rather than in general phone settings, since it only affects how names are shown, not how they are saved.
Open the sequence below:
Open the Contacts app ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Name order ➔ Choose First name first or Last name first
Switching this option changes the display everywhere at once, including search results and the call log. It does not reorder your actual contact data, so nothing gets lost or duplicated. If names still look wrong after switching, the issue is usually how a specific contact was entered, not the display order itself.
