Set Notch Display Areas auf Huawei
The notch on a Huawei phone houses the front camera and sensors, but full-screen apps do not always handle that cutout the same way. Some content stretches straight through it, clipping a letter, an icon or part of an image. Other apps leave the strip on either side of the notch black, which looks like a permanent shadow bar at the top of the display.
EMUI gives you two ways to render this area. The Default option lets apps use the full display width, including the space around the notch, so some content may still touch the cutout. The Hide notch option darkens a horizontal bar across the top of the screen, hiding the camera housing behind a black background on supported apps.
To change it, open Open the settings ➔ Tap on Display & brightness ➔ Tap on More display settings ➔ Tap on Notch and choose between Default and Hide notch.
This setting only changes how the top bar is rendered. It does not fix apps that are individually coded to ignore the notch, and some games or video players may keep their own full-screen behavior regardless of what you pick here.
