Set Priority Storage on SD Card auf Huawei
Huawei devices let you pick an inserted SD card as the default save location for photos and videos taken with the camera app. This setting only applies to single shots. Picture series, such as bursts taken in quick succession, are still written to internal storage first, regardless of the priority setting.
This split behavior exists because series shots need faster write speeds than most SD cards reliably deliver. Once the series is complete, the files stay in internal memory unless you move them manually. If your internal storage keeps filling up despite an SD card being installed, check whether most of your recent shots are series or panoramas rather than single photos.
Where to turn priority storage on or off
Open the Camera app, then go to Open the settings, and activate or deactivate Priority save on memory card. With the option enabled, new single photos and videos save directly to the SD card as long as one is inserted and recognized. Removing the SD card automatically switches saving back to internal storage, even with the setting still turned on.
This setting does not move photos or videos you already captured. Existing files stay wherever they were originally saved, so you still need to transfer older media manually if you want everything on the card.
