Enable or Disable Quick Calling auf Huawei
Quick calling lets you place a call on a Huawei phone without unlocking the screen first. You press and hold the volume down key, say the contact name out loud, and the phone starts dialing. This works even in standby, which is convenient for hands-free situations but can also trigger calls by accident when the phone sits in a pocket or bag near the volume key.
The setting sits inside the voice control options of the Phone app, not in the general system settings, which is why many users struggle to find it. It is separate from voice assistants and only reacts to the volume down key combined with a spoken name that matches an existing contact.
Where to find the setting
Open Open the Phone App ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the settings ➔ Tap on Voice control ➔ Tap on Quick calling ➔ Activate or deactivate Quick calling.
Turn it off if you notice unexplained outgoing calls in your call log. Turn it on if you regularly need to dial someone while driving or with your hands full, since it skips the unlock step entirely.
