Remove App from Folder auf Huawei
Apps end up in folders because EMUI groups similar icons together automatically or because you dragged one there yourself to tidy up the home screen. Once an app becomes something you tap several times a day, having it hidden inside a folder adds an extra step every time.
Taking an app back out does not delete it or remove any data. You are only moving the shortcut, and the app itself, along with its settings and files, stays exactly as it was.
Start by opening the folder that holds the app: Open a folder. Then press and hold the icon you want to move: Tap and hold an app. Keep holding while you drag it outside the folder boundary: Drag the app from the folder area. Lift your finger once the icon sits over open space on the home screen: Release the app to position it on the home screen.
If the icon snaps back into the folder, there is usually not enough free space where you released it. Move other icons aside first or switch to a home screen page with more room, then repeat the drag.
This only works for apps sitting inside a folder. If you want to remove an app from the phone entirely, that requires uninstalling it instead of dragging it around.
