Remove an Assigned Number from Speed Dial auf Huawei
Huawei phones running EMUI limit speed dial to a fixed number of slots. Once all of them are occupied, the Phone app will not let you add a new number until an existing assignment is cleared or replaced.
This limit exists because speed dial slots map directly to number keys on the dial pad, so the system reserves only as many positions as there are keys available.
Where to clear a speed dial entry
Open Open the Phone app ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Speed dial. This shows every slot and which contact number, if any, is currently assigned to it.
Tap on an assigned number to open it, then choose Choose Clear assigned number to remove it completely, or Choose Change assigned number to swap it for a different contact right away.
Clearing a number does not delete the contact from your address book. It only removes the shortcut, freeing the slot for a new assignment.
If you plan to reassign the same slot to a different person, using Change assigned number saves you a step compared to clearing first and adding again later.
This setting only affects the classic speed dial feature tied to the dial pad. It has no effect on favorites, contact groups, or app shortcuts elsewhere on the phone.
