Remove a Member from a Contact Group auf Huawei
Groups in the Contacts app on your Huawei phone are meant to stay flexible. Adding a colleague, then removing them once a project ends, should not force you to rebuild the whole group from scratch.
EMUI separates group membership from the contact record itself. When you remove someone from a group, only the link between that contact and the group disappears. The contact entry, phone number, and any other groups the person belongs to stay exactly as they were.
To remove one or more members, open Contacts app ➔ Groups ➔ Choose a group ➔ More ➔ Remove members ➔ Select one or more members ➔ Remove. You can select several contacts at once before confirming.
This approach makes sense when the group itself should keep existing. If the whole group has become obsolete, deleting the group directly is faster than removing every member one by one. Deleting a group does not delete the contacts inside it, so both actions are safe for your contact list.
A group with no members left is not deleted automatically. You can add new members to it again at any time through the same Groups menu.
