Rename a Fingerprint auf Huawei
Huawei phones label every registered fingerprint with a generic name such as Fingerprint 1 or Fingerprint 2. This naming comes from the biometric management screen in EMUI, which lists fingerprints in the order you registered them rather than by finger or user.
With only one or two prints saved, generic labels rarely cause problems. Once you register several fingerprints for different family members or fingers, the default names stop being useful and you risk editing or deleting the wrong entry.
Renaming a fingerprint does not affect how it unlocks the device or which apps can use it. It only changes the label shown in the fingerprint list, so the change is safe and fully reversible at any time.
Rename a fingerprint via Settings
Go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Biometrics & password ➔ Tap on Fingerprint ID ➔ Tap on Fingerprint management ➔ Choose a fingerprint ➔ Tap on Rename ➔ Enter a name and tap OK.
You will likely need to confirm your PIN or pattern before the fingerprint list opens. That is a standard security check and not part of the renaming process itself.
