Rename a Paired Bluetooth Device auf Huawei
Paired Bluetooth accessories often register on your Huawei phone using a generic Bluetooth name burned into the device firmware, like a chipset code or a short model number. When you pair several accessories - earbuds, a smartwatch, a car kit - the device list in EMUI shows these codes side by side and gives you no context about which one is which.
EMUI lets you assign a custom label to every paired device without breaking the Bluetooth connection. The name only changes how the device appears in your Bluetooth list; it does not affect pairing keys, audio codecs, or battery reporting.
To rename a paired device, go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Bluetooth ➔ Open the menu of the paired device ➔ Tap on Rename ➔ Enter a name and tap OK. The new name is stored locally on your phone and does not sync to other devices signed into the same account.
If the device still shows the old name on your car display or a second phone, that is expected: each device stores its own label for the same accessory. Renaming only helps you tell devices apart on the phone where you made the change.
