Reset Camera Settings to Default auf Huawei
Camera behavior on Huawei phones changes fast once you start adjusting resolution, aspect ratio, grid lines, watermark or AI scene detection. After a few tweaks it gets hard to remember what you changed and why the app no longer behaves the way it did right after setup.
EMUI stores all camera preferences separately from your photo library, so resetting them never touches saved media. The restore function only reverts settings such as default photo mode, video resolution, shutter sound, or grid overlay - it has no effect on pictures or clips already stored in Gallery.
To reset: Open the Camera app ➔ Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Restore defaults ➔ Confirm with OK.
Use this reset when the camera produces unexpected results after custom settings, when a filter or watermark got stuck active, or when leftover options behave oddly after an update. If only one specific mode misbehaves, like a stuck flash setting, check that single option first - a full reset clears every customization, including saved aspect ratio and timer preferences, and you will need to set them up again afterward.
