Turn Touchscreen Tap Sounds On or Off auf Huawei
Huawei phones running EMUI play a short click sound whenever you tap the screen - opening a menu, hitting Back, or confirming an action. This is a separate feedback setting, independent from your ringtone or media volume, which is why muting the phone does not always stop it.
The sound comes from a dedicated toggle buried inside the sound settings, not from the main volume slider. Once you know where it sits, switching it off takes seconds.
Where to find the setting
Open Open the settings ➔ Tap on Sounds & vibration ➔ Tap on More sound settings ➔ Activate or deactivate Screen touch sound. Flip the toggle off to silence every tap, or back on if you want the audio confirmation again.
Keep the setting enabled if you rely on audio feedback for accessibility reasons, for example when navigating menus without looking at the screen. Turn it off in quiet environments like offices, classrooms, or during calls, where the clicking is more likely to be noticed by others than useful to you.
