Search Within a Conversation auf Huawei
Long text threads with the same contact or group make it hard to relocate a single message, especially confirmation codes, addresses or old plans buried under weeks of chatter.
Huawei's Messages app on EMUI includes a per-conversation search that scans only the open thread instead of your entire message history. Every match for the keyword or phrase you type gets highlighted in yellow and the results appear in chronological order.
To use it: open Messages app ➔ Choose a conversation ➔ Tap on Search ➔ Enter a keyword ➔ Tap on Search ➔ Tap on back-/forward to browse the results. The back and forward arrows let you step through every occurrence without scrolling through the full chat.
This tool only searches inside the conversation you already have open. If you don't remember which contact sent a message, use the general search field on the main Messages screen instead, since that checks all conversations at once.
Search only matches the message text itself. Attachments, images and voice notes are not scanned, so a keyword search will not surface content hidden inside a shared file.
