Enable or Disable Service Messages auf Huawei
Service messages are texts your mobile carrier sends directly to the Messages app, separate from regular SMS conversations. They typically cover data usage alerts, billing notices, or promotional offers, and they land in your inbox even if the sender is not in your contacts.
On EMUI, this behavior is controlled by a dedicated setting inside the Messages app rather than in the general system settings. Because it lives under an advanced menu, many people never find it and assume the messages cannot be blocked at the device level.
To change it, open Open Messages ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the settings ➔ Tap on Advanced ➔ Activate or deactivate Service messages. Turning the toggle off stops new service messages from appearing, but it does not delete ones you already received.
Disabling this setting only affects messages sent through this specific channel. Regular SMS and MMS from contacts, businesses, or verification codes still arrive normally.
If your carrier sends account alerts you actually rely on, such as low-balance warnings, leave the setting enabled. Turning it back on later restores those messages without any loss of message history.
