Set Separate Volume for Media, Ringtone, Alarms and Calls auf Huawei
On Huawei phones running EMUI, sound is split into four independent categories: Media (which also covers Music, Video and Games), Ringtone, Alarm and Calls. Each one has its own slider, so lowering the media volume for a video does not lower how loud your alarm sounds the next morning.
To adjust any of these levels, go to Open the settings ➔ Tap on Sounds & vibration ➔ Pull the slider to the left or right. Every category listed there has its own slider row, and dragging it changes only that one sound type.
This separation exists because a single master volume would make it impossible to keep a quiet ringtone while still hearing alarms clearly, or to mute in-call audio without silencing media playback. If you are only trying to silence notifications and calls temporarily rather than change fixed levels, a Do Not Disturb or Focus mode is usually a better fit than moving these sliders, since it mutes sound without resetting your preferred volume levels.
Keep in mind that hardware volume buttons usually adjust whichever category is currently active on screen (media while a video plays, ringtone otherwise), not all four at once. For a lasting setup, the Sounds & vibration menu is the only place where you set each level independently and have it stick.
