Set Up Face Unlock auf Huawei
Face recognition on Huawei phones relies on the front camera to capture and store a facial profile directly on the device. Once enrolled, the same profile can unlock the lock screen and grant access to individual apps that you have locked separately.
The setup lives inside the biometric security area of the system settings, not under a general Display or Lock screen menu, which is why it often goes unnoticed. Follow this path: Open the settings ➔ Tap on Biometric & password ➔ Tap on Face Recognition ➔ Type in your PIN ➔ Tap on Get started and follow the instructions on the display.
During enrollment, hold the phone at eye level in decent lighting and keep your face fully inside the frame until the process confirms completion. If the camera lens is dirty, partially covered by a case, or you are wearing something that changes your usual look, recognition can fail or unlock slower than expected.
Face unlock is convenient but generally less secure than a PIN or fingerprint, since photos or look-alikes can sometimes trigger a false match depending on the phone model. For app-level protection, combine it with the app lock feature rather than relying on face recognition alone.
