Enable or Disable Bluetooth Contact Sharing auf Huawei
Contact sharing is a per-device Bluetooth setting on Huawei phones running EMUI. It controls whether a paired device, such as a car stereo, headset, or another phone, can read your stored contacts. Each paired device has its own toggle, so sharing can be active for your car and disabled for a Bluetooth speaker at the same time.
If a car audio system cannot show caller names or respond to voice commands like calling a contact, this toggle is almost always the reason. The phone stays connected for audio and calls, but the address book itself is withheld unless sharing is explicitly turned on for that connection.
Where to find the setting
Go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Bluetooth ➔ Open the menu of the paired device ➔ Enable or disable Contact sharing. The device must already be paired and appear in the Bluetooth list for this menu to show up.
Turning sharing on sends your current contact list to the paired device immediately; it does not sync future changes automatically in every car system, so some units need a re-pair or a manual refresh after adding new contacts. Turning it off removes contact access for that device without affecting the phone's own contact list or other paired devices.
If contacts still do not appear after enabling sharing, check the car system's own Bluetooth phonebook settings, since some units require a separate confirmation on their side.
