Huawei: Show Week Numbers in the Calendar App

Counting weeks manually to schedule a meeting or track a deadline gets old fast. On Huawei phones the calendar app can show the week number next to each row, but the option sits buried in a settings menu most people never open.

Show Week Number in Calendar auf Huawei

Calendar week numbers help you plan faster when appointments, invoices, or project deadlines reference a week (like KW 42) instead of a date. On Huawei phones running EMUI, this display is controlled by a single toggle inside the Calendar app itself, not in the system settings.

By default the toggle is turned off, so the calendar view only shows day and month numbers. Once enabled, a slim column appears on the side of the month or week view with the corresponding week number for each row.

To turn it on or off, open Open the Calendar appOpen the menuOpen the SettingsEnable or disable Show week number. The change applies immediately across all calendar views on the device.

This setting only affects the visual display inside the Calendar app. It does not change how dates are stored, synced, or shared with other calendar accounts, so switching it on or off is safe and fully reversible at any time.

Frequently asked questions

Huawei calendars follow the ISO week numbering standard, where the first week of the year is the one containing the first Thursday of January. This matches the standard used across most of Europe.
