Show WiFi Password as QR Code auf Huawei
Sharing a WiFi password by voice or text often leads to typos, especially with long alphanumeric keys. EMUI can generate a QR code for any network your Huawei phone is currently connected to, so a guest just scans it with their camera and joins automatically.
This works because EMUI stores the password of saved networks and encodes it together with the network name into a QR code on demand. No extra app is needed, and the code only works for people with physical access to your screen.
Where to find the QR code
Open Settings ➔ Tap on Wi-Fi ➔ Tap on the connected network to show the QR code. The code appears on the network detail screen together with the network name.
Anyone scanning it with a phone camera gets a prompt to join your WiFi, skipping the manual password entry entirely.
When this will not work
You must be actively connected to the network you want to share, since the option only shows up for the currently connected WiFi. If you need to share a network you are not connected to, connect to it first, then repeat the steps above.
Guests on much older phones without QR scanning support in the camera app will still need the password typed in manually as a fallback.
