Assign a Contact to Speed Dial auf Huawei
Speed dial on Huawei phones works with the numbers on the dial pad. Each number key from 2 to 9 can hold one contact. By default none of these keys are linked, so a long press does nothing until you assign a contact manually.
The setting sits inside the Phone app itself, not in the general system settings. This is why many users miss it while looking through Settings ➔ Apps.
To set it up, open Open the Phone app ➔ Open the menu ➔ Open the settings ➔ Tap on Speed dial. Then Choose a number and Select a contact for speed dialing to link that contact to the key.
After saving, go back to the dial pad and press and hold the assigned number. The call starts immediately without opening your contact list first.
If a key still does not dial after linking a contact, check that the contact has a primary phone number stored, since speed dial calls that number by default. Removing a contact from your phonebook also clears the assigned speed dial slot, so you need to set it again after re-adding the contact.
