Startup Sound: Enable or Disable auf Huawei
The startup sound on Huawei phones plays automatically when the device powers on, and it is controlled by a single toggle buried inside the sound settings rather than in a dedicated menu.
Many people never touch it, so it stays on the value set during first setup or after a factory reset. If you share a room, work early shifts, or just prefer silence, switching it off takes a few taps and does not affect ringtones, notification sounds, or media volume.
To find it, go to Open the settings ➔ Tap on Sounds & vibration ➔ Tap on More sound settings ➔ Tap on Startup sound. From there you flip the toggle on or off depending on what you want.
This setting only affects the boot chime itself. If your phone stays silent on incoming calls or messages too, the cause is a different setting, such as Do Not Disturb or a muted ringtone, and turning the startup sound back on will not fix that.
One side effect worth knowing: after a system update or a factory reset, this toggle can reset to its default state, so it is worth checking again if the sound comes back unexpectedly.
