Stop Alarms With the Fingerprint Sensor auf Huawei
Huawei phones with a fingerprint sensor can silence a ringing alarm without unlocking the screen. Instead of swiping or tapping a Stop button, you hold your registered finger on the sensor and the alarm cuts off immediately. This works because EMUI links the fingerprint reader to the alarm app through a dedicated toggle, separate from the regular unlock function.
If holding the sensor does not stop the alarm, that toggle is switched off, or you may be pressing a finger that is not enrolled for that sensor. The setting sits inside the biometrics section rather than the alarm clock app itself, which is why it is easy to miss.
To enable or check it, open Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Biometrics & password ➔ Tap on Fingerprint ID ➔ Enable or disable Stop alarms. Once active, any enrolled fingerprint on that sensor can silence an alarm while the phone is locked or unlocked.
This function only affects the alarm clock. Calls, timers, and other notifications still require the usual swipe or tap gestures to dismiss.
