Enable or Disable Switch Access auf Huawei
Switch Access is built for people who cannot use touch gestures reliably and instead control their Huawei phone through one or more external switches. A switch can be a physical button, a foot pedal, or any similar device connected via USB or paired over Bluetooth. Once EMUI recognizes the hardware, you use it to move focus between screen elements, confirm a selection, scroll, and enter text.
Huawei does not place this setting among the general accessibility shortcuts because it serves a small group of users with specific hardware. Instead, you find it here: Open the settings ➔ Tap on Accessibility features ➔ Tap on Accessibility ➔ Tap on Switch Access ➔ Activate or deactivate Switch Access.
Turning the feature on changes how the phone reacts to input. Item scanning takes over navigation, so ordinary tapping can feel slower until a switch is connected and set up correctly. If you only need larger buttons, more contrast, or voice commands, a different accessibility feature fits your case better than Switch Access.
Disable it the same way once you no longer need an external switch. Touch navigation returns to normal immediately after switching it off.
