TalkBack Speech Rate Setting auf Huawei
TalkBack reads out screen elements, notifications and typed text using a fixed speech rate until you change it manually. On Huawei phones, this value lives inside the text-to-speech settings, separate from language and pitch options, which is why many users never find it.
A rate set too high can cause you to miss spoken labels while swiping through menus. A rate set too low slows down every interaction, especially when reading longer notifications or messages aloud.
To adjust it, open the following path:
Open the settings ➔ Tap on Accessibility features ➔ Tap on Accessibility ➔ Tap on TalkBack ➔ Tap on More settings ➔ Tap on Text to speech settings ➔ Pull the speech rate to the left or right
Dragging the slider left slows down speech, dragging it right speeds it up. Test the result immediately by moving focus to any on-screen element, since TalkBack reads it back at the new rate right away.
The same Text to speech settings screen also holds pitch and language options, so if speech still sounds off after adjusting the rate, check those settings next instead of repeating this path.
