Enable or Disable Ultra Snapshot auf Huawei
Ultra snapshot is a camera shortcut built into EMUI. It lets you capture a photo or launch the camera app directly from standby by pressing the volume-down button twice, without unlocking the screen first.
If the double-press does nothing, the feature is likely disabled or set to the wrong mode. EMUI offers three states for this shortcut: taking a snapshot right away, opening the camera app for framing first, or turning the shortcut off entirely.
Where to turn it on or off
Open the Camera app and go to Open the settings. From there, tap Ultra snapshot and pick one of the options: Take a snapshot, Open camera, or Off.
Take a snapshot captures an image immediately after the double-press, which is fastest if you just want a quick shot without composing it. Open camera instead launches the camera app so you can adjust framing before shooting, useful when timing is less critical than getting the shot right.
Choosing Off disables the shortcut completely. This is worth doing if the volume buttons get pressed accidentally in a pocket or bag, since that can trigger the camera without you noticing and drain the battery over time.
If the shortcut still does not respond after picking a mode, check whether the volume-down button works correctly elsewhere, since a hardware issue can look identical to a software setting problem.
