Vibrate on touch is a separate haptic feedback layer built into EMUI. It fires whenever you tap a button, switch, or menu item on the touchscreen, independent from call or notification vibration.
Many users only notice it once it becomes annoying during late-night browsing, or once it goes missing after a system update and confirmations feel less tactile. Because the option lives under sound settings rather than a dedicated vibration menu, it is easy to overlook.
Where to find it
Go to Open the settings ➔ Tap on Sounds & vibration ➔ Tap on More sound settings ➔ Activate or deactivate Vibrate on touch.
Toggle it on to get a short buzz on every tap and menu action. Toggle it off to remove that feedback while keeping ringtone and notification vibration untouched.
This setting has no effect on the vibration pattern for incoming calls or on keyboard haptics, which are controlled separately. If you only want silence while typing, check the keyboard app settings instead of this toggle.
Disabling it does not save meaningful battery, since the motor only runs for a fraction of a second per tap. It is purely a comfort setting for how the phone feels while you navigate the interface.
