Set Video Resolution auf Huawei
Recording quality on a Huawei phone depends on the resolution set in the Camera app, not just on the hardware itself. If videos look pixelated or files fill up storage too quickly, the resolution setting is usually the cause.
Huawei phones running EMUI store this option inside the camera settings menu, separate from photo resolution. Switching to Video mode first is required, because the resolution list changes depending on whether you are shooting photos or video.
Where to find the video resolution setting
Open Camera, then switch to Video mode. Tap Settings ➔ Resolution to see the list of available video resolutions for your device.
The exact options shown depend on the Huawei model and its camera sensor. Higher resolutions produce sharper footage but create larger files and use more storage over time.
Lower resolutions save space and are useful for quick clips or when storage is limited. If you record often, checking available storage before switching to a higher resolution avoids running out of space mid-recording.
This setting only affects new recordings. Videos already saved keep the resolution they were recorded in and are not changed retroactively.
