Default Volume Button Control (Media vs. Ringtone) auf Huawei
Huawei phones route the volume rocker to the media stream by default, so pressing the buttons on the home screen or while browsing adjusts music, video, or app sound instead of the ringtone. This becomes a problem when you want to quickly raise or lower the ringer volume before a call and the buttons keep touching the wrong channel. EMUI lets you swap this default so the volume keys control the ringtone instead of media playback.
To change the target, open Settings ➔ Sound & vibration ➔ Default volume button control. There you choose between Media and Ringtone as the stream the buttons adjust when no audio is currently playing.
Keep in mind that once you start playing music or video, the volume keys automatically switch to controlling that stream, since Android always maps the rocker to the active audio session. The default you set here only applies when no media is playing, for example on the home screen or lock screen before a call comes in.
