Block Unknown Numbers
Anonymous or withheld numbers keep ringing your Huawei phone even though you never answer them. This happens because call blocking for private numbers is turned off by default in the Phone app, so every masked caller gets through until you change that setting.
Manage App Launch on Huawei
If notifications arrive late or messaging apps get killed in the background on your Huawei phone, the automatic App launch management is usually the cause. EMUI decides on its own which apps may run in the background, start automatically, or trigger other apps, and that can be too strict for apps you rely on.

Turn Location Access On or Off
If your Huawei phone keeps showing the location icon in the status bar even though you are not navigating or checking in anywhere, general location access is probably switched on for every app at once. This master switch overrides individual app permissions, so weather, maps, and social apps all lose GPS access the moment you turn it off. It is a different setting from disabling location for a single app.
Set Memory Card as Preferred Storage
If your Huawei phone still saves photos and videos to internal memory even with an SD card inserted, the camera is not set to prioritize the card. This mostly happens after a factory reset or when a new memory card is inserted for the first time. Burst shots and some background tasks can keep landing on internal storage even after the change.

Set Default Apps
If your Huawei phone keeps asking which app to use every time you tap a link or open a song file, no default app is assigned for that action yet. EMUI shows this picker whenever several apps can handle the same task and none of them has been set as the standard. Once you pick a permanent default, the picker disappears and the chosen app opens automatically.
Change System Navigation Type
If the on-screen buttons at the bottom of your Huawei phone feel cramped, or you keep hitting the back button by accident, the navigation style is worth changing. Huawei phones default to Three-key navigation, but Gestures and the floating NaviDot are also available.
