If TalkBack stays silent on some taps or buzzes too loudly during a call, the vibration, sound and audio ducking options are likely not tuned to your needs. OnePlus lets you fine-tune each feedback channel separately, including how much other audio gets muted while TalkBack speaks. Getting these settings wrong can make TalkBack hard to notice or disruptive during media playback.
Update a saved Wi-Fi password without reconnecting
If your router password changed, your OnePlus keeps trying the old credentials and drops the connection or refuses to join. It can also delay push content in social or news apps until you open them directly.
Forward an SMS or MMS Message
Retyping or copying a text just to send it to someone else wastes time, especially with longer MMS content like photos or shared links. The Messages app on OnePlus phones has a built-in Forward option that gets skipped by many users because it hides inside a long-press menu. Set Dwell Timing for Mouse Click
If you connect a USB or Bluetooth mouse to your OnePlus phone, an automatic click can trigger as soon as the pointer stops moving. Depending on the delay you have set, this click may fire too quickly or take far too long, making menus feel unresponsive or overly sensitive. Dwell timing controls exactly how long the cursor has to stay still before that click happens.

Enable or Disable NFC
Contactless payment fails at checkout, or your OnePlus won't pair with a speaker or headphones by tap - in most cases NFC is simply switched off. Some users also want to disable NFC on purpose, either to save a bit of battery or to avoid accidental taps against payment terminals in a crowded bag. On several OxygenOS builds the toggle isn't in the quick panel at all, which is why people keep searching for it in the wrong place.
Change Device Name
If your OnePlus phone shows up with an unclear or generic label when you connect to Bluetooth speakers, a car system or your home Wi-Fi, that name comes from the device name setting. When you switch to the symbols keyboard on your OnePlus, recently used emojis do not show up above the number row. This forces you to jump back to the emoji picker instead of tapping a quick suggestion. A single Gboard setting controls whether that emoji strip appears at all.
Uninstall an App

Use Google Lens in the Camera App
If the camera viewfinder does not recognize landmarks, text or products on its own, Google Lens is probably still hidden inside the camera shortcuts. On OnePlus phones running Oxygenos, Lens sits as a separate option in the Camera app and only scans the frame once you tap it and pick a category.
Print a Website from the Browser App
If the print option seems missing when you open a website on your OnePlus phone, it is usually hidden inside the Share menu instead of a dedicated print button. The browser relies on the Android print framework, so the printer also needs to be reachable over the same Wi-Fi network, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi Direct before anything shows up.
Add More Exceptions to Do Not Disturb Mode
Do Not Disturb on your OnePlus phone mutes calls and messages by default, but alarms, media playback, and touch feedback often keep misbehaving anyway. If you want alarms to still go off, media sounds to stay audible, or touch sounds to work while everything else is silenced, the standard call and message exceptions will not help. Those extra behaviors sit in a separate exceptions list that needs to be turned on manually.
