Allow Phone Calls and SMS for Added Users auf OnePlus
New user profiles on a OnePlus phone start without access to the Phone and Messages apps. This keeps the primary owner's call history and text threads hidden from guest or secondary accounts by default.
The restriction sits inside the Multiple users settings, separate from the general app permissions list. Each added profile needs its own toggle switched on before it can dial numbers or receive SMS.
To activate it, go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on System ➔ Tap on Multiple users ➔ Open the Settings ➔ Enable or disable Turn on phone calls & SMS ➔ Confirm with OK.
Once enabled, call logs and SMS conversations become shared across every user on the device, not only visible to the profile you switched on. Turn the toggle off again if you want messaging kept private to a single account.
This setting only affects secondary or guest profiles. It has no effect on the main owner account, which always keeps full access to calls and messages. If you only want to hide specific contacts rather than block calling entirely, check app permissions or contact visibility instead.
