Set App Time Limits auf OnePlus
Excessive app use on a OnePlus phone is not blocked by default. Only Digital Wellbeing & parental controls can enforce a daily cutoff, and it only works once you assign a timer to a specific app.
Open Settings ➔ Digital Wellbeing & parental controls ➔ Dashboard. The dashboard lists every app together with its usage time for the day.
Tap the app you want to restrict, then select Timer. Set the daily allowance and confirm with OK. Once the time is used up, the app greys out and needs a manual override or the next day to reset before it opens again.
This timer counts foreground use only. Background activity like downloads, syncing, or notifications does not count toward the limit and will not lock the app early.
If you only want a quiet break rather than a permanent daily limit, Focus mode or scheduling Do Not Disturb is usually the faster option. The app timer is better suited for habits you want to control every single day, such as gaming or social media.
A timer applies per app, so games and social apps need separate limits if you want to control both. Removing or increasing the limit later works the same way, just adjust the value under Timer again.
