Camera Shutter Sound: Enable or Disable auf OnePlus
The camera shutter sound on OnePlus phones is controlled inside the camera app, separate from your ringtone or media volume. Muting your phone or switching to silent mode does not affect it, which is why the click can still appear even when every other sound is off.
To change it, open Open Camera and tap Open the Settings inside the app. Look for the shutter sound option and use it to switch the click Enable or disable Shutter sound on or off.
This setting stays saved after you close the camera app, so you only need to set it once. If you ever update or reset the camera app, check the toggle again since some updates reset app-level preferences to default.
Turning the sound off is useful for street photography, events or workplaces where discretion matters. Keeping it on can help confirm that a shot was actually taken, especially when you are shooting quickly or in bright sunlight where the screen is hard to read.
