Choose Which Contacts Are Displayed auf OnePlus
On OnePlus phones running OxygenOS, the Contacts app merges entries from every source by default: your Google Account, the phone's internal storage, and any SIM card. If you keep separate groups for work and personal contacts, this merged view makes it hard to find anyone quickly.
The fix is a display filter built into the Contacts app itself. It lets you pick exactly which accounts and categories show up in your contact list, without deleting or moving any entries. Contacts you hide stay saved, they just stop appearing until you switch them back on.
How to filter your contact list
Follow this path: Open the Contacts app ➔ Open the menu ➔ Tap on Customize view ➔ Select Customize ➔ Choose an account ➔ Select or deselect one or more categories ➔ Tap on Save.
Each account can be filtered independently. If you use both a Google Account and local phone storage, repeat the process for each one to control what shows up from every source.
This setting only changes what is visible in the app. It does not sync deletions, remove labels, or affect who can call or message you.
