Connect to a Wi-Fi Network auf OnePlus
Your OnePlus phone links itself to one Wi-Fi network the first time you set it up, and that saved network is the only one it joins automatically afterward. Every additional network - a new home router, an office connection or a guest hotspot - has to be added manually through the Wi-Fi settings.
The feature responsible for this is the Wi-Fi manager built into OxygenOS, which scans nearby signals and lists every network within range. Signal strength, hidden network names and outdated router firmware can all affect which networks show up and how fast the connection gets confirmed.
To join a network, go to Open the Settings ➔ Tap on Wi-Fi & network ➔ Tap on Wi-Fi ➔ Choose an available Wi-Fi network ➔ Enter the password and tap Connect. Once the password is accepted, the network is saved and the phone reconnects to it automatically whenever it is back in range.
If the phone already shows a connection but data still runs slowly, the cause is usually router placement or interference, not the pairing itself. Restarting the router or moving closer to it fixes that faster than repeating the connection steps.
