Copy Text from an SMS Message auf OnePlus
On a OnePlus phone running OxygenOS, copying text from a text message is not available as a swipe gesture or a visible icon in the conversation thread. The action is triggered by a long press, which opens a small context menu with the copy option.
This matters most when a message contains a one-time login code, a tracking number, or an address you need to paste into another app. Retyping such details by hand increases the chance of an error, especially with longer confirmation codes.
Menu Path
Open the Messages app ➔ Choose a conversation ➔ Tap and hold a message ➔ Tap on Copy
Once you tap Copy, the full text of that message is stored on the clipboard. Open the target field, whether it is a notes app, a browser address bar, or another chat, tap into it, and hold until the paste option appears.
If the message contains a link, some keyboards or messaging apps may show a direct Open link action alongside Copy. That option only opens the link and does not copy the surrounding text, so use Copy if you need the full message content.
This method copies one message at a time. For several messages from the same conversation, repeat the long press and copy step for each one separately.
