Delete a Single Text Message auf OnePlus
The Messages app on OnePlus phones offers two different delete actions. One removes an entire conversation, the other targets a single message inside it. Mixing these up is a common mistake, since a long-press on the wrong area can trigger the full-conversation delete instead of the single-message option.
To remove just one text or picture message: Open the Messages app ➔ Choose a conversation ➔ Tap and hold a message ➔ Tap on Delete ➔ Confirm with Delete. The long press on the specific bubble is what limits the action to that single message rather than the whole thread.
This deletion only applies locally. The chat partner still has the message on their own device, since nothing is sent to remove it there. There is no undo after confirming, so double-check the selected message before tapping Delete.
If the goal is to clear out an entire thread instead, use the conversation-level delete option from the messages list rather than opening the chat first. Deleting single messages one by one is only practical for a handful of items; for larger cleanups the full-conversation delete is faster.
